“There is such a need for dementia-friendly barbers, says Lenny White.
Based in County Down, Northern Ireland, Lenny started cutting hair of male care home residents when his friend invited him to the care home where she worked at.
“That was how it all started. I brought my little jukebox and played some old classics for the men and just watching and listening to them singing along brought back the good feeling I remembered from when I used to work i n a care home in my teens. How National Apprenticeship Week aim to create new ‘hairs’ to the throne

With National Apprenticeship Week starting next week, many hairdressers, stylists and barbers will be looking for new hairs [sic] to the throne. With hairdressing a futureproof career option, it is a popular option for apprenticeships. They are recognised “as a ladder of opportunity to a brighter future”. The whole purpose of this week is to promote the benefits of apprenticeships to employers and potential school leavers.
